Northern long-eared bat
Myotis septentrionalis — Bats
A small, long-eared forest bat that picks insects off leaves, and is now endangered.
Do not handle this animal with bare hands, and do not let it near a pet. It is a rabies-vector species, which changes both the procedure and who is permitted to take it.
