Hoary bat
Lasiurus cinereus — Bats
The largest bat in eastern North America, frosted silver, and a traveller of remarkable distances.
Do not handle this animal with bare hands, and do not let it near a pet. It is a rabies-vector species, which changes both the procedure and who is permitted to take it.
